Gwango’s Lonesome Trail will be out in bookstores in about two months. As of now, the printing stage is almost complete. By next month, I’ll be getting my first gander at the finished product, and it’s all really exciting! So for the next few months, I thought it might be appropriate to begin showcasing some of the finished illustrations.

Wicked illo. Great desert colors, and I like the old telephone wires and dinosuars together.

Hey Justin, I really like this illustration, I really liked the one you posted before of the bottom corner of it, but the whole thing is really great!
Lovely jubbly.
I would give you a congratulatory fondle if I were on hand to do so.
fantastic design my friend.... a shame I have to wait so long to get the book :)
Yummy, quite simply. Look forward to it!
Oh man... this is amazing! Really, really inspiring stuff. I can't wait to run out and get a copy or two of the book. Congrats on what looks like the single greatest literary accomplishment since Gutenberg's Printing Press!
It really turned out nice. Good job.
That's a wicked cool dino landscape illo!!
Today started off in a bad way. When I woke up, my “studio” was being invaded by a viscous armada of king-sized ants. I thought today was a bust, but after reading everyone’s kind comments, I’m feeling slightly better about the world and all the ants that live there.
R.A.. Macneil and Brian, thanks for dropping by.
Debralee, yeah, that was my teaser poster. Hope the real deal didn’t disappoint.
Oh, this is to cool, three British gents in a row,
Ian, Elliot, and Curtis, thanks for your classy U.K. style comments, you guys are poets.
Hey Greg, sorry we missed you at the Con. We kind of got swallowed up in all the crowds and all the excitement. We need to plan better next year.
Jared, no need to run my friend, your getting one for free.
Joe and Alina, thanks for stopping in.
This is nice, I can't wait to see more. I'm sure your book will do well. Don't worry about the ants, I'm sure they just came out to congratulate you aswell, but you met them with fear and distrust. No very nice at all. Anyway, great stuff!
Wow, this is awesome! I'm a fan.
Thanks for the kind words Ryan, I'm crossing my fingers to, or its back to the mundane -- maybe I'll get my old job at the Multiplex or something?

Hey Alexei and Mr. S.T. Lewis, thanks for stopping in.
And Scott, that painting will be coming very soon. It will be an angry painting, and black as the pits of hell :)
This is looking great man ....
Let me know when it hits the shelves .
I like the melancholy mood. Pretty neat.^__^
Hey Simon...right, that is you Simon? Any how, thanks for stopping in.
Hey Moro, yep, Gwango is lonelier then a trucker on a midnight run. Who'd a thunk' a pink Bronto could be so glum, right?
I love everything about your style. Totally superb, and very inspiring.
Great stuff yourself. Love these dinos and such. Excellent illustrations. Mind if I add your stories and pictures blog to my fav listings on my page?
Wow, that's really awesome. I really like the color transition in the sky. The skull in the foreground was really cool too I gotta say. Thanks a lot for the comment.
Really nice stile!Very charming
This has a nice look to it man...very well done man.
Terrific illustration!!! It's got everything, a dino, mysterious bones, a great sky, power wires... We'd love to buy the book! What do we do?
Re: ants, you could try a substance called diatomaceous earth, to get rid of insects in the garden. It's very sharp shells of sea animals i think so it cuts insects exoscelletons. Not poisonous, but brutal to creepy crawlies. You buy it at organic supply stores and it's a very fine powdery looking substance that might do the trick. You'd just need a little to scatter on the path wher they walk.
Thanks all for the comments,
mackaydesign, sure you can link me, if you want. Thanks! Quick question, what in gods green earth is that thing on your profile thumbnail?
??? It looks like a fish- man-monkey, or mabey a man-chimp-fish ???
Hey doodlers,
Thanks for the Great Ant Advice, and so cool, it’s non poisonous -- I couldn’t murder a single ant if my life depended on it.
In regards to the book, it will be out in the fall, probably sometime in October, and available in major city bookstores and on Amazon.
Thanks for the interest
Very cool! Congrats, I will pick it up!
Thanks! Oh, the image in question was actually a large painting I did of a fish headed man. Here's a link to a cropped version I posted a while back.

Thanks potato farm girl, that’s quite a compliment.
mackaydesign, thanks, a mystery is finally solved. However, I'm sorry to say your link doesn’t work. When I get some time, I'll try to search it out on your blog.

Craig, fine work sir, I'm impressed as always.
Awesome! It's like a coral reef outside of the water! And great colors!
Your dead right Marmax. I was going for a fish tank ornament.
wow, I love all these drawings, can't wait for the book mannn!
Lovely piece , thanks for sharing.
Can't wait to check it out! BRAVO! Do Antarticans get a free copy? If they do then I wish I was an Antartican. . .
Hey Steph,
If by Antarticans you’re referring to our pale brothers to the north, then right you are, their all getting free copies! And can you blame me? It’s like really cold there, and they have to keep those toasty fires stoked some how. My books going to make a lot of people happy :)
And if that’s not what you meant by Antarticans, then sorry, I don’t know what an Antartican is?
very nice mate :D
I know this is really lame, but I can't pass up the oportunity. I have to be the one to tip the scale over to 50!
Beautiful work Justin! Your work amazes me!
