  2. Wow. Such countryside. A great setting for those sculpts. They have soul too!

Too bad they are gone. Subdivisions are usually so crappy, but maybe the one built here has got some amazing views and good architecture....?

  5. Justin,
Awesome site! Glad to see you posting!
I think I speak for all the guys at Toon Club when I say thanks for your comments! For the sake of humanity!

  6. Hey Greg,

Actually I'd say the drawing and pictures have more of a salty taste :)

Gabriel, I guess I'm just a two blog kind of guy. That’s the way it's always been.

Doodlers, an even stranger fact about the sight is that it's right near a collection of scientology castles.

    Thanks Alina.

Josh, some slight filters were used, but that's pretty much how the photos came out. I think something happened in the development process. The batch of pictures were the most saturated and vibrant I’ve ever seen.

    Thanks I. N. J. Culbard

Chairmen of the Toon Club, for the sake of man kind, you’re very welcome!

  7. Check out the following link to some Dinosaurs in Crystal Palace (here in the UK). There's a nice little bit of info about them in the link.

    DInosaurs

I remember seeing these when I was a kid.

One really early memory for me as a kid was of riding bareback on a t-rex in a desert. What that actually was was my dad took me to a dino theme park affair which had been set up next to Chessington, which would later become 'the world of adventure'. only, when I visited it, they were building it (back in the mid-late seventies). So the huge heaps of earth and construction I incorrectly recalled as desert dunes. And the t-rex? Obviously just a model kids could climb all over. But, hey, what an early memory.

  10. That scientology place is just so creepy, it doesn't surprise me at all that these dino sculptures were close to it.

That area kind of reminds me of 1984, so I guess the thought police got in there and removed the evidence of the dinos so none of their followers would find them and question their reality!

  11. whats up!
the dinosaur bones on the post below is just wow!
    ready for comic con?

  12. Hey Debralee, nice analogy. It is kind of an eerie place. Have you seen the enormous Pirate ship next to the castles? Its where the scientologist shoot all there crazy little movies. Its quite bizarre.

Lerms, you bet I'm ready for Comic Con. Haven’t missed a single one in six years. You going?

Mattias, I’m alive, your alive, its a good day.

  14. Where did the drawing go dude?! I commented because you had photos and a sketch, not just photos.. I must say Mr. Parpan, I'm a bit disappointed..

  15. Thanks Joe and jimmynock.

    Josh,

The drawing was crude and off subject. The post was meant as a tribute. So I killed the sketch.

But cheer up pal, you’ll get another sketch soon. And I promise you, it will be the crudest piece of junk in the history of the blogging world!

  18. did you develop the pictures too!? if you didn't, it is still a mighty fine collection of photos.

  19. Hans and brian, tanks for dropping by.

blau, as a plain American Joe only fluent in plain American English, I'm impressed, your bilingual!

    Hey Edward,

I did some slight color filter work on the pics, but didn’t actually develop them myself. No, I left that up to the fine folks at the Longs Drugstore photo center, and damn, if they didn’t do a fine job :)

  20. Love these photos specially the one on top. If I didn't see the other ones, I would think it's real dino bones. Anyway, this is a good blog and have fun in CalArts ( I live in Santa Clarita as well).

You sure are a talented guy and cannot wait to get a printed version of Gwango--wherever do you get the imagination for all your creations?
